The month of Muharram 1440 will commence on Tuesday, September 11, 2018

Al salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah

The BC Muslim Association is pleased to announce the month of Muharram 1440 will commence on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. The 10th of Muharram will therefore be on Thursday, September 20, 2018. It is the Sunnah of the Prophet ? to fast on the 10th of Muharram; the Prophet ? also encouraged us to fast the 9th of Muharram along with the 10th. We encourage the community to increase their worship of Allah during this sacred month and stay away from all that invites His displeasure.
