Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and day-to-day management of BCMA's accounting records and financial reporting. The role ensures compliance with Canadian Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO), Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requirements applicable to registered charities, funding agreements, and BCMA policies. Working closely with the General Treasurer, Executive Board, centre officials, auditors, and finance staff, the Senior Accountant supports budgeting, grant and fund accounting, audit readiness, internal controls, and responsible stewardship of donor and organizational funds.
