The Situation

Just over a month after the severe Tropical Cyclone Yasa, another Tropical Cyclone Ana hit Fiji causing landfalls, heavy destruction to buildings, livestock, and agriculture. The National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) estimated that 21,000 households, comprising of 93,000 people, have been directly affected by TC Yasa. Once again, “Tropical Cyclone Ana, the 2nd in a month exits Fiji - leaving behind a difficult recovery,”

There are still three months remaining before the end of Fiji’s cyclone season, which lasts from November to April.
