Al salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah
The Board of Religious Services of the BC Muslim Association is pleased to declare that Ramadan 1445 will begin on Monday, March 11, 2024. Following the sighting of the crescent moon on the evening of the 29th of Sha’ban, the Board has confirmed the commencement of this blessed month.
For accurate suhur and iftar times, please visit www.thebcma.com and download the Ramadan timetable. Additionally, tarawih timings can be found on the respective websites of your local masajid.
We kindly remind you to fulfill the obligation of zakat al-fitr before the end of Ramadan. The scholars of the Board have determined the zakat al-fitr amount to be $20 per individual.
We make du’a that Allah grants us the ability to seek His favor throughout these holy days and nights. May He accept our fasts, qiyam, and du’as. May this Ramadan bring relief and triumph to our brothers and sisters in Gaza, Palestine, Sudan, East Turkestan, Kashmir, and all around the world.
